Do doxycycline and Advil PM interact?
Advil PM contains ibuprofen (an NSAID) plus diphenhydramine (an antihistamine). Based on commonly tracked drug-interaction information, doxycycline does not have a major, direct interaction with either ibuprofen or diphenhydramine.

- Take doxycycline with a full glass of water.
- Stay upright for about 30 minutes after each doxycycline dose.
- Avoid taking doxycycline at the same time as mineral supplements (calcium/iron) or antacids.
Advil PM doesn’t usually require a separation window for absorption, but if you notice increased stomach upset, spacing the doses by a couple of hours can help.
