When did ivermectin become generic?

Ivermectin entered the generic market in the United States in 1994.
After Merck’s original patents expired, the FDA approved the first generic ivermectin product—marketed simply as “IVERMECTIN”—for the treatment of onchocerciasis. Since then, other generic manufacturers have entered the market, and generic ivermectin is now widely available for both human and veterinary use.
