How long has xarelto been around?

Xarelto (the brand name for rivaroxaban) has been on the market for a little over a decade. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) first approved it in 2010 for treatment and prevention of deep‑vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, and for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation. The European Medicines Agency followed with approval in 2012, and it’s been sold in most other countries since then. So, as of 2024, Xarelto has been around for about 14 years.
