Osimertinib (brand name Tagrisso) was originally discovered and developed by AstraZeneca. The drug is licensed for commercial sale in the United States by Pfizer Inc. – Pfizer is the manufacturer and distributor of the branded product.

In other markets, the same drug may be produced under different brand names (e.g., Tagrisso in many countries, Lumakras in the EU, Xalkori was an earlier EGFR inhibitor, but not osimertinib).
