Side effects of jublia topical?

Jublia (efinaconazole) is a topical antifungal for toenail fungus. Most side effects are local to the application site.

Common side effects (occurring in many people)
- Redness or irritation at the application site (dermatitis)
- Itching (pruritus)
- Burning or stinging
- Dry skin around the nail
- Redness or swelling around the nail

Less common but possible
- Blisters or vesicles at the nail area
- Contact dermatitis or an allergic skin reaction

Serious but rare
- Signs of a true allergic reaction: swelling of the face/t lips/tongue, severe rash, trouble breathing. Seek urgent medical care if these occur.

Notes
- Because it’s applied to the skin/nail, systemic (whole-body) side effects are uncommon.
- If the solution gets in your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with water.
- If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or have significant liver problems, talk to your clinician before using.
- If you notice new or worsening symptoms, or if there’s no improvement, check in with your healthcare provider.
