Vascepa is used for?

Vascepa (icosapent ethyl) is used to treat certain patients with high triglycerides to lower the risk of cardiovascular events. Specifically, it is prescribed for people with:

- High triglycerides (about 150–499 mg/dL) who have established cardiovascular disease, or diabetes plus additional cardiovascular risk factors, alongside statin therapy. [1]
