In most adults, yes—you can take Claritin D and ibuprofen together. Claritin D contains loratadine (an antihistamine) and pseudoephedrine (a decongestant), and ibuprofen is an NSAID. There isn’t a major interaction between ibuprofen and loratadine or pseudoephedrine.
But there are cautions:
- Pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure and cause jitters or trouble sleeping, especially if you have hypertension, heart problems, glaucoma, thyroid issues, or are pregnant.
