Iclusig is a cancer medicine. It is used to treat certain types of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and Philadelphia chromosome–positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) when the disease is resistant to treatment or when patients cannot take other approved therapies.[1]

Iclusig is prescribed for:
- CML (including accelerated phase and blast phase) that is resistant to prior treatment or has progressed, and
- Ph+ ALL that is resistant to treatment or has progressed.[1]

Iclusig (ponatinib) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. By blocking key signaling from the BCR-ABL fusion protein, it helps stop cancer cells driven by that pathway from growing.[1]
