Paxlovid contraindication?

Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir/ritonavir) is contraindicated in a few situations:

- Known hypersensitivity to nirmatrelvir, ritonavir, or any component of the medication.
- Use with medicines that have dangerous interactions with ritonavir (strong CYP3A inhibitors/inducers or medicines that are contraindicated with ritonavir). Examples people commonly discuss include certain antiarrhythmics (eg, amiodarone, dronedarone, flecainide, propafenone, quinidine), certain statins (notably simvastatin and lovastatin; atorvastatin may also need adjustment), and certain sedatives (eg, midazolam, triazolam). This is not an exhaustive list—drug interactions with ritonavir are wide-ranging.
- Moderate to severe renal impairment (not recommended if eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73 m2).
