Did you check the expiry date on your Advil?
If you’re asking whether I (the assistant) checked it: I can’t physically check the package you have, so I have not verified your specific Advil’s expiry date.
Where to find Advil’s expiry date on the box or bottle?
Look on the outside of the carton and/or the label on the bottle for a “EXP,” “EXP.,” or “Expiration” date, usually printed near the bottom or on a side panel. If it’s a blister pack, the date is often printed on the carton or on the individual blister/lid area.
Can you still use Advil after the expiry date?
Using medication after its expiry date is not recommended. Expired products may have reduced effectiveness or, in rare cases, degraded components. If yours is expired, the safer option is to replace it.
What’s the fastest way to confirm for your specific product?
Tell me what it says on your package (the exact wording and the date), or share a clear photo of the expiry/EXP label, and I’ll help you interpret whether it’s still within the valid period.
Important note
If you have symptoms that are severe (for example, trouble breathing, swelling of the face, or black/tarry stools), don’t wait on an expiry check—seek urgent medical help.
