Does baclofen expire?

Yes. Baclofen, like most medicines, has an expiration date.

- The expiration date is printed on the bottle or carton (often labeled “EXP”). That date is the last day the manufacturer guarantees full potency and safety if you’ve stored it as directed.
- After that date, potency can decline and safety cannot be guaranteed. For this reason you should not use baclofen past its expiration.

Storage (to help maintain potency up to the date):
- Keep in the original container, capped tightly.
- Store at room temperature (about 68–77°F or 20–25°C), away from moisture and light. Avoid bathrooms unless the label says otherwise.

Disposal:
- Do not flush expired medications. If possible, use a medication take-back program. If none is available, you can mix the pills with dirt or cat litter in a sealed bag and place them in the trash.
