How fast does Auvelity start working?
Auvelity (dextromethorphan/ bupropion) is designed to begin improving depressive symptoms within the first couple of weeks for many people, with fuller effects typically taking longer. The usual clinical expectation is that benefits build over time rather than appearing instantly.
Because “how long” can vary a lot by person (dose tolerated, symptom severity, and whether a medication is truly working for that individual), the most practical way to judge timing is to track symptoms over the first several weeks with the prescribing clinician.
