Lyrica (pregabalin) is a medication that is primarily used to treat seizures, neuropathic pain, and fibromyalgia [1]. However, it has also been prescribed off-label for the treatment of anxiety disorders. A study published in the Journal of Psychiatric Practice found that pregabalin was effective in reducing anxiety symptoms in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) [2]. Additionally, a review published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology found that pregabalin was effective in treating several anxiety disorders, including GAD, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder [3]. It is important to note that the use of pregabalin for anxiety disorders is off-label and should only be prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
